'Come Up and See Me' was right on the money
As for the B52s, they need to go back to the drawing board. Saturday night (Holystone) saw 'The Love Shack'get totally blown away
....."

Steve Overall, Alexandra in July

"....This was my first CtC gig and by the end, after 3 encores, I thought they were brilliant and really contributed to an excellent night.
I was particularly impressed by the new guitarist and the young drummer.
Things got off to a shaky start when the older guitarist came on and sat down. I thought it was a folk-club night.
Then there was a hairy moment when the new, good looking guitarist came on but he soon left the older, balding guitarist standing.
Bring back this lot next year and if you get a chance, go see them and you're guaranteed a great night out."
Simon from London who visited the Beer Festival gig in April 05.
(Simon is also the brother of the 'new, good looking guitarist'!)

The following extracts are from Paul Crown, CtCs former drummer.....
How do you describe the Bands music?

Really Damn Good

What aspects of being in the Band did you enjoy most?
Playing music with people I like and respect.
Producing a good professional show, and most of all.....
People not arguing.
Having worked with musicians of my own age it was so good working with people who just want to produce a good sound, rather than have artistic control and/or use the Band as a platform to show off from.

Which CtC gig have you enjoyed most?
The Alexandra on the 19th March 2005 or the Fat Ox on 17th September 2005.
Both times the crowd made my night.
The Fat Ox just pipped it for me - the crowd went mental in there.

Which CtC song(s) is your particular favourite and why?
LUKA - it's my baby....
PEACE, LOVE & UNDERSTANDING - it kicks ass....
LOVE SHACK - it brings the house down.....

Which song that the Band hasn't covered yet would suite their style?
'RADIO' by The Corrs

and finally......
I'll miss you all very much; you are first and foremost a smashing bunch of people and also an awesome group of musicians.
I have developed both as a person and a musician from being in the Band.
I would like to thank you all and I'll cheer you on every chance I get.
People rather casually throw these words around but, it has been a privilege working with you.

Paul Crown, November 2005

Another quality evening's music and I wished it had gone on for another hour (except that the older members of the band might have needed hospitalization).

Highly recommended!....."
Simon Brindley, London

".... I was expecting a quiet night ...."
Jackie, Manageress at The Fat Ox, February 06

....I just wanted to state that the charity gig at The Irish Centre was indeed excellent.
Having heard C2C before I was never the less knocked out by the new songs & renditions.
I thought it was very humble of Joe to walk amongst the commoners & stop & chat, but apart from the good singing, he looked like he was enjoying himself up on the stage.
It makes a difference when you're in the audience.

The night was made fantastic by the brilliant stroke of luck, that from where I was sitting, I could see Whitworth's legs, the stool & arms strumming but his head was completely hidden by the speaker.
Keith Robson, cheeky ba$£@rd extraordinaire

"....We were really impressed with the band's performance and had a great evening. Here's our comment to add to the web page:

"Utvalget av populaere og kjente sanger sammen med den levende utfoerelse var til synlig glede for alle.
Atmosfaeren avspeilte den typiske nordoestengelske misunnelsesverdige glede over utelivet.
En superb kveld og vi takker Cover-toCover for deres sterke musikalske bidrag til vaar opplevelse".
Hanne and Michael, Oslo, Norway.

"The popular selection of songs and the lively presentation was enjoyed by everyone.
The whole atmosphere reflected the true face of North East England where people are out to enjoy themselves.
A great evening, thank you to "Cover-to-Cover for making it happen".
